The origin of the Républican guard orchestra is in 1848, but it's one century later, in 1948, that is decided the creation of a whole of string instruments.

The Républican Guard Orchestra is a whole of international reputation, with the artistic radiation some, true ambassador of our country in the whole world. Since March first, 1997, it is placed under the direction of François Boulanger assisted by Sébastien Billard.

The concerto for saxophone, written in 1934 and built in only one part, consist of a great number of movements in a varied pace.

Jacques Ibert: Concertino da camera

This concerto, written in 1936, is in three movements, successively allegro, larghetto and animato molto. The use of the syncope gives to this music an air of relationship with the jazz, which one knows that it exerted before the war a strong influence on the European music.
